Fever is a response of the body to any kind of infection or any inflammatory process in body so you can give paracetamol in a dose of 15 mg/kg/dose as the first line treatment also this dose can be again repeated after every 5 to 6 hours if freeagain required and you can also do cold sponging of the body to reduce fever

Yes Both paracetamol only doctors do advise you to give it at the time of fever a couple of medicines they have different different names but they all a paracetamol only and they are given for fever issued only still if you have an issue or confusion then consult your doctor ones
