Cold is most of the time because of some viral infection or allergic condition and symptoms are usually sneezing, running nose, nasal congestion and fever. cough along with throat irritation are usually associated . Treatment consists of antiallergic antipyretics analgesics and decongestants medicine . As a home remedy steam inhalation would be very useful . Medicines like wikohtryl / tminic / Alex cold can be used in a proper dose for 3-5 days as per the symptoms . Steam inhalation is repeated frequently .

Sporolac Is a good probiotic to go for actually so you can use that now but if your child is suffering with diarrhoea and you have to stop giving milk for the time being you can stick to more of other dairy products like curd and bananas also very good option to go for
