Q.

Sumol ds syrup as suggested by doctor given at interval of 4hrs.Still temperature not decreasing at all ,101.5.Plz help.urgent

A. hi consult with your doctor in person for proper assessment and medications again. do sponging with wash cloth soaked in tap water to bring down the temperature and repeat paracetamol drops in prescribed dose as per baby weight after every 4 hours

A. if you have already given sumol DS syrup to your child and fever is not coming down we can give syrup meftal P 3.5 ml and also you can give cold sponging to the whole body it will bring the fever down and then you can consult your pediatrician again

A. if the fever is viral then it will take atleast 3-5 days to reduce. if doctor has prescribed it then please follow the entire course and do not miss any dose. give at regular intervals. kerp the baby well hydrated through breastmilk or water.
