Q.

sir! my daughter have g6pd deficiency. she is going to be 6 months old tomorrow. still date she is exclusively Breast feed. I want to strt her solid along with one two feed of formula. I got to know that soya products are not god for g6pd deficient. while going through the formula milk package. one of the ingredient is soya bean oil. is it safe for my baby

A. In our experience the best milk for G6PD deficient babies are those without soya and those that are not Cow's milk based formula. Many studies show that cow's milk has coarser milk fats that are not suitable for humans, while goat's milk fats has finer fat molecules and closer to the human milk.Better check with your paediatrician once again.
