Q.

sir my child has developed molluscum contagiosum. I got it checked from dermatologist who suggested to put 10% KOH solution over each one and apply an Ellovera cream. also a liquid medicine of ascazin has been suggested to take 5ml twice a day. however on applying 10% KOH over the effected part. its burning the skin and causing it reddish. what is the cure to it may please suggest.

A. hi dear molluscum can be removed by electrocautery or cryotherapy but does our painful and avoided in children be careful while applying kph protect surrounding with Vaseline and apply koh with toothpick
