Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children2 years agoA. Cold most of the time is a viral illness where there could be running nose sneezing along with cough and it needs supportive care along with proper hydration . steam inhalation will also be useful in this .
cough needs to be treated with anti allergic and expectorant bronchodilators or antitussives medicine which should be used once aht proper evaluation by the doctor is done and according to the type of cough its prescribed.
if arny fever is there paracetamol can be given to reduce the temperature and the dose can be repeated again after 6 hours if required .

These things can take about 3 to 5 days on the minimum side gate if you feel things are not getting find a new chapter portrait for the check up with the doctor but as of now whatever you are doing is completely good so you do not have to worry about it
