should we lift our 2 month old daughter from shoulders or only by placing the hand behind the neck and head? When should we start lifting from shoulders?

A. It is generally recommended to avoid lifting a 2-month-old baby solely by the shoulders, as their neck muscles are not yet fully developed to support the weight of their head. Instead, it is safer to support the baby's head and neck by placing your hand behind the neck and head while lifting. As for when you can start lifting the baby from their shoulders, it is important to wait until the baby has developed sufficient neck control and strength to support their head independently. This typically occurs around 4 to 6 months of age, but every b baby develops at their own pace. It is essential to observe your baby's development and readiness before attempting to lift them from their shoulders.

A. Up till the age of six months you are meant to keep your hand behind the head of the child because the total stability and control is going to be there by completing the time of six months so don’t lift your child from the shoulder as of now
