Q.

Sharing my 14 months old boy's food routine. 8 a.m- Formula milk 5 ounce after waking up 9:30 a.m - Breakfast - Sattu with murmura/ suji upma/ mashed roti with milk and jaggery/ atte ka halwa 11:30 am- One banana 12- 1:30 pm- First nap after bath 2 pm- Lunch - fish curry with vegetables with rice/ veg khichdi with boiled egg yolk or chicken stew with rice 3 pm- Home made mosambi juice 3 - 5 pm- Second nap 5:30 pm- Formula milk 5 ounce 7 pm- Suji upma/ Makhana with milk or cerelac 9:30 pm- Dinner- khichdi or dal chawal with ghee and boiled potato 11 pm- 3 ounce milk and sleeps. He takes breastmilk in between speacially at his sleep time. Some days he eats well and some days he does not. Is the routine ok or I should do some changes to it.

A. Ma’am first you should stop giving juices to the child they are extremely unhealthy so juices are not advisable to be given at any time so don’t give juice you can give fruit instead of whichever fruit you would prefer giving to the child and secondly you are giving good lunch and dinner but instead of Khichdi and all the time you should start giving roti sabji Dal rice basically the food that you and your family are having the right food to be given to the child for breakfast lunch and dinner so try to go ahead with that
