Q.
Severe cough and started with running nose two days back

Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children2 years agoA. Cough along with Cold most of the time is a viral illness and it needs supportive care along with proper hydration. you can give steam inhalation which is very useful .
cough netdeds to be treated with anti allergic and expectorant bronchodilators or antitussives medicine which should be given only after a proper evaluation by the doctor according to the type of cough.
if fever is there paracetamol can be given to reduce the fever and the dose can be repeated after 6 hours again if required .

RashmiMom of a 11 yr old girl2 years agoA. Right now actually Viral is spreading too much so there could be a possibility that your child also must be suffering with the same consult your doctor go ahead with a proper medication suggested by the doctor as we do not recommend you to self medicate
