Q.

Respected Doctor,,My son is 1m6day old he had neonatal jaundice at birth were he was on phototherapy for 24hrs wt bilirubin level 18mg ,, after therapy got reduced to 10.9mg..Now the stool is in yellowish seed form ..is this normal?? pls suggest!!

A. yes this is a normal stool. if the stool is semi-solid to solid, its frequency, color, or odor isn’t a concern. it might range from occurring 4-5 times daily to not occurring for several days. you should seek medical advice only if the stool is watery or hard, or if the child feels pain during bowel movements.
