A. Never feed refrigerated foods to the child, it should be at room temperature and always give fresh foods. After six months, you can start giving semi solid foods to the baby, to start with give thick dal soup, mashed banana, suji kheer, later introduce mashed sweet potato, seasonal fruit purees, rice porridge, khichdi, yogurt. Initially give everything in small quantity and check response of the baby and gradually increase the quantity of the food. After nine months you can start solid foods like chapati mashed in dal, sift cooked rice, finger foods.
