Dr Medha PatilMom of a 9 yr 2 m old boy6 years agoA. German measles is also known as Rubella. The best way to protect oneself from it is by vaccination. MR or MMR vaccine is given at 9 months of age, followed at 16 months. At the same time it is very important for females who plan to get pregnant soon , to prevent congenital rubella syndrome.
