Q.
Prashvi i 1.6 years old. she is sick from past 25 days. suffering from fever cough and cold. when i give medicine she will be fine and active, as effect of medicine reduces symptoms come back and she will become cranky. please help

Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children2 years agoA. Cough along with Cold most of the time is a viral illness and it needs supportive care along with proper hydration. you can give steam inhalation which is very useful .
cough needs to be treated with anti allergic and expegyctorant bronchodilators or antitussives medicine which should be given only after a proper evaluation by the doctor according to the type of cough.
if fever is there paracetamol can be given to reduce the fever andy the dose can be repeated after 6 hours again if required .

Get a blood test done for your child because this why you cannot keep continuing giving medicine to the child is not good for the health of your child and it is actually going to V Kanda immune system of the child so it is important for you to 1st figure out the reason by consulting the doctor if required please go ahead with a blood test where that is actually going to give you much clarity on the situation
