pls help me my baby have 102.9 fever I gave p-120 syrup at night 9pm that time baby have 100 fever but now 10.2 temperature pls suggest I'm soo much fear about baby 🙏 suggest

A. my baby have fever from last 5 days with cold and cough I gave mefniwel-p ds syrup to her when ever she got fever it's controled but today I'm visit hospital doctor given p-120 syrup it's not controlled it reduced pls suggest and thank you soo much for your fast response

A. Fever is a reaction of the body to different pyrogens released during any Infection. Usually temp more than 99 F is taken as fever . Mostly in children fever is because of viral infections like flu or RSV where the fever is there for 4-5 days but may persist even upto 2 weeks . Initially antipyretic like paracetamol is given in a dose of 15 mg / kg/ dose. Can be repcseated after 4-6 hrs if needed . Lukewarm sponge bath can be given as home remedy to decrease fever. Adequate fluid intakeh is also beneficial. Urine output monitoring is necessary to avoid dehydration .
