Pls help me how to get rid of thotil in Tamil means cotton jhula or swing habit.. my son is sleeping always n that.. next month I am moving to my home where I could tie jhula.

ExpertDr.Rasika ThosarPaediatric Intensivist6 years agoA. slowly start keeping on bed once baby is asleep in cradle or arms during naptime. then do it in night too. make use of favourite blanket, optimum sleeping conditions. transition from cradle or arms to bed takes time in some babies .earliar you do, the better. .

A. my baby sleeps on bed at night but during day time he don't want 2 sleep on his own, so I hv 2 put him in swing. but now I hv to break the habit he don't like Patting nor lap . he just want 2 stand .. can I let him play how much he wants??

Janani ViswanathanMom of 2 children6 years agoA. You can try to slowly wean the cradle usage. Don't stop it altogether. Stop it for one nap when u think he will be too tired and sleep on his own without needing to rock in the cradle. Then follow the same way of putting him to sleep for few days. Then start quiting cradle for another nap and so on slowly. Playing a mild soothing lullaby can help the baby to sleep.
