please tell me about jaundice

Dr Vandan H KumarFather of a 7 yr 4 m old boy1 Year agoA. there is always a chance of neonatal jaundice in small children within one or maximum 2 weeks of birth in which the skin as the eyes may appear yellow.
you have to meet the doctor forx evaluation of the jaundice.
normal simple jaundice will go away on its own with only breastfeeding but if it is more your doctor will advise phototherapy.
the yellowness from the eyes may take around 1 to 1 and half month to totally go away.

When jaundice happens to a child first of all you will see yellow colour into the eyes and slightly onto the body jaundice is very commonly seen with kids right after their birth and according to the levels of Dr would advise you whether the phototherapy is required or not
