Dr Vandan H KumarFather of a 7 yr 4 m old boy2 years agoA. you can go for mosquito repellent cream application on the skin of the child. eg odomos, mama earth etc
but first you have to confirm whether it is causing skin allergy or not so just apply very small amount on any part of the skin and observe for 1 to 2 hours and if it is not causing any allergic reaction or reddsning then it is not causing allergy and it can be applied on the skin of the child. they are advisable only after completion of one year of age of the child.
at the same time it is important to see that the child doesn't put tzhe cream in the oral cavity otherwise it can cause toxicity

Treating itchy mosquito bites on newborns, babies, toddlers, and older kids can be done at home following the advice of your child's healthcare provider, who may suggest applying calamine lotion or over-the-counter hydrocortisone cream. You can also apply a cool cloth to relieve pain and itching.
