Q.

#pediatrics My 8 month old sits, crawls, tries to stand with support. She smiles, laughs and plays. She likes to look into mirror and shadows. She signals to be picked up and when she is done with food. She makes aa sound randomly while playing alone. Concerns 1. Since 5.5 months she shivers while feeding. Earlier it was just head which I showed to pediatric who said this is normal and probably sleep myoclonus. Of late, her body also is shivering which again one pediatric said is normal during half asleep. this stops when nipple is taken out. 2. Last week she started bending head down touching chin to chest and occassionally pouting and lifting one hand up. She did multiple times even while playing. This is now reduced to once or twice a day. 3. She plays peek a boo sometimes and smiles or laughs while other times she keenly observes or is not interested 4. She makes aa sound and screams. In between we could hear occassionally aa boo or hmm, hae, oo but then she got sepsis. She recovered but we only hear aa sound now. She is not babbling yet. I am anxious thinking these things are related and if there is some major issue and if my baby is running behind age appropriate milestones. Please suggest.

A. Hello mom All the things you mentioned are totally normal and you should not worry. If your baby is active and taking proper meals on time then everything is fine and nothing to worry about so you should not worry about it at all. Your baby is crossing all the milestones on time so you should not worry at all. Happy parenting Stay home stay safe
