Q.

#ParentingClinic which is the most accurate way to measure fever? On infrared thermometer forehead temperature is 100.6 F and on mercury thermometer under arm temperature is 102.6. Which one is accurate?

A. Dear mom, try and check the temperature again 3 or 4 times . you will have an idea about the actual temperature. symptoms at 100.6 will be different from those at 102. at 102 body shivers, restlessness will be there, body will respond in a different way . At 100.6 it might only be the hot body or lack of sleep etc etc. check for physical symptoms. and in both the situations since the temperature is high you will hv to consult your paediatrician. A. actually depends on the company of the infrared thermometer and also traditional Way Or clinical thermometer is is predicted to be the accurate one compared to the infrared thermometer so do not worry and go with the clinical thermometer as well as clinical symptoms
