A. Hi parent, please do not give any animal milk to baby until 1 year of age. Till then breastmilk or formula are main sources of nutrition for babies. After 5 to 6 months you can give solid foods to baby after confirmation and guidance from baby's pediatrician. So you can give soft cooked and pureed vegetables, fruits, cereals like rice oats wheat or ragi, curd, coconut water, homemade juices and soups etc. Start with few spoons one time and as baby gets used to eating make it 2 times and gradually 3 times and increase quantity to upto half a katori. Give few spoons of water after baby eats solids. Give one food item at a time and wait for atleast 3 days before starting another food item so  as to check for allergies.
