Q.

#paediatrician my 3 months old baby girl coughing (around 10-14 times in a day), and sneezing (around 12-15 times a day). This coughing happens when she is awake and try to make sound or play. The local doctor prescribed Ascoril LS drops (15 drops, 3 times a day). For ref.: No runny nose, no fever, taking feeds (combination feed), passing urine (8 times in a day), passing stool, she is active. Is this coughing due to gas or something else? Please help...

A. Cough and Cold along with the symptom like Fever loss of appetite irritability could be a feature of viral infection or seasonal flu where mgiost of the time supportive treatment is given. along with that cough expectorant and decongestant with antiallergic medicine given. steam inhalation can be givenh frequently to relieve the symptoms.
