Jasmine Shiny DsouzaMom of a 7 yr 9 m old boy5 years agoA. hi mom. if the umbilical opening is clean then no need to worry much if the baby is having pus in the umbilical cord it indicates that there is some infection. you have to definitely consult with the pediatrician as this infection can spread and it may cause some danger. do not apply anything over the umbilical cord just dry it completely after the bath
