Q.

Nowdays everyone say dal pani or rice water we should not give to babies we should give mashed foods likes fruits and vegetables it’s very confusing what to give to babies and how much and how many times what about feed and when to start food when baby gets 6 months one day

A. quantity is variable start with small amount If your breast feeding your baby then continue to breastfeed at regular intervals and there is no need to give anything else apart from mother milk or formula milk to baby till he complete 6months of age as it is complete food that takes care of hydration as well as nutrition. After 6 month you can gradually start weaning with homemade easy to digest food items like rice porridge ragi porridge mashed fruits apple Puree, mashed banana chiku etc. But whatever you are introducing should be introduced gradually with a small amount

I Don’t know who says that but you should be starting with rice Dal water only because that is the easiest and the lightest for a child to digest also I would like to tell you here that you know it is just you know food developer kind of a thing so if your child likes to develop that kind of test then your child will have other things also like vegetables and fruits police would advise you to go ahead with a rice Dal water first
