Raj kFather of 2 children4 weeks agoA. It is common for newborns to get hiccups after feeding, usually caused by a full stomach pressing on the diaphragm. Burp the baby frequently during and after feedings to release trapped air. Keep the baby upright for 15-20 minutes after feeding. Offer a pacifier, as sucking can help relax the diaphragm. Avoid overfeeding by offering smaller, more frequent meals.
