namashkar, I am mother of 2&half month premature baby (born in 32weeks). from last few days I noticed that he has a swollen or embossed navel. is it normal or I have to consult the doctor personally. please guide. thank you

A. the child is having umbilical hernia which is very common in children afnd goes away by maximum 2 years of age. with growing age it regresses and goes inside it doecs not require any intervention or treatment before 2 years if it is non complicated. meet your doctor once who will tell you whether any intervention or wait and watch policy is required.

A. It could be due to umbilical hernia as well so to know more about it you will have to once get a check with your doctor because without proper check up an assessment we cannot be sure about the reason behind it which is why my recommendation is going to be to consult your doctor wants to know more about it
