A. Nothing like that. It’s just a habit. Sometimes,due to stress and nervousness it could become a habit. Or just by looking at others they may mimic them. So don’t worry

A. Not hereditary. It’s just a habit. My sister in law bites her nails where as no one in the family does that. It’s just a habit and it’s better to nip it in the bud if your baby does so. It is one major cause of stomach infection
