my younger daughter is 2.1 years old weight 9kg. she had fever since 2 days I gave paracetamol calpol 5 ml after every 6 hrs then fever reduces and came after six hrs but now fever is 102 and still not reducing than 99 what should I give i have febrex plus ds can I give it 5 ml after 6 hrs

A. You should not give Febrex Plus DS without a pediatrician's advice. For a 2.1-year-old child weighing 9 kg, paracetamol is the safest fever medicine. The correct dose is 15 mg/kg, so the exact mL depends on whether your Calpol is 120 mg/5 mL or 250 mg/5 mL. Since your child has had 102°F fever for 2 days, please have her examined by a pediatrician today. Keep her well hydrated and give paracetamol only at the recommended dose, not by adding another fever medicine. Seek urgent medical care immediately if she becomes very sleepy, has difficulty breathing, refuses to drink fluids, has repeated vomiting, or develops a seizure.

A. @ rashmigupta are you a doctor or any expert? please don't recommend any answers where doctors or experts suppose to answer. when parents asks questions they are already worried about babies don't mislead and confuse them.

A. Your child is two years old the weight is 9 kg amount of medicine to be given is about approximately maximum 1ML lot more than that why are you giving 5ML it’s too much high for the child please don’t do anything from your own side please immediately visit your doctor
