Q.

My twin boys are two weeks old. they weighed 1.8kg each at birth with 32 weeks gestation. They were at NICU for 5 days. Now, in the last one week, we've been feeding them every 3 hours. Urine and motion are all normal. However, they don't seem to be putting on weight. They're still 1.6kgs, the same weight when they were discharged from hospital. Worried. Need suggestions.

A. for good Growth of the child it is important that the child should get proper nutritional requirement which is very important for the growing child specially iron and vitamin D is required for better growth and cognition . also there is role of other micronutrients. one should ensure that the child should get a proper balanced diet which contains all types of nutrients essential for growth. any kind of infhection specially any chronic infection should be ruled out and treated which fmay hamper the growth otherwise. after 2 years of age you can give some powder like kids Pro/ prohance junior mix in milk twice a day for one or two months.
