Q.
my toddler is 3.8 years old. I am potty training him but he refuses to sit on the potty seat and is withholding. he likes to urinate on the pot but not defecate. it has been 2 days since he passed the stool. how to encourage him and I am getting anxious as he has a history of constipation.

HarshaMom of a 4 yr 2 m old boy5 months agoA. From paediatrician take prescription for stool softener. My doctor says intestine get used to hard stool. So stool softener is recommend to give every day till minimum 3 monts to 1 year once in day. I also give ajwain water. When my son started trying to pass stool everyday I started potty training. Roast ajwain in dry pot till fumes come out . Then add 1 cup water reduce to half water.it help to pass gas

HarshaMom of a 4 yr 2 m old boy5 months agoA. Same happened with my son. It took 2 weeks to make him sit on potty. Now he is sitting on potty on his own. Keep trying. Tell them angel or god will happy with u if u sit on potty. Show him video and tell him we will give u gift if u sit on potty and make us happy. I used all this trick

Maybe your child is standing and urinating because it’s a boy so maybe they do not need to sit on the pot which is why they are more comfortable right now I think your child is more scared of getting or falling down into the pot they’re very scared in this to make your child believe that you are going to hold the hands you’re not going to fall and trust me this is the right way I think this is the only thing which is going to work for you
