Q.

My toddler is 19 months old and he has very less sleep in the nights. He sleeps for 3hrs in a stretch and stays awake for 3hrs and then sleeps for 3hrs, that's it. How do I make him sleep continuously? I feel very sad for him as he feels sleepy but is not able to sleep. This is happening since past 7 months. I'm afraid whether he will be able to sleep continuously or not. Please suggest and help me

A. for big children it is important to increase the physical activity of the child during the daytime and also see that the child is drinking plenty of water and is having a good diet just before sleep but at the same time the diet should be easily digestible and not very heavy diet which is causing more gas formation because that also can lead to digestion problem and that can disturb the sleep.d also it is important to look for any environmental disturbance which is affecting the sleep like temperature variations as well as the mattress problem. rule out constipation which might be causing gastric disturbance and dchange in sleep pattern
