Q.

My toddler (2 year) hasn’t stopped breastfeeding and also not pooping She poops once in 2-3 days. Please suggest something.

A. Your child breastfeeding for up to 2 years is natural, but if he’s still breastfeeding a lot, it can sometimes reduce his intake of solid foods and cause constipation or delayed pooping (once every 2–3 days). To help, start gradually reducing breastfeeding sessions and encourage more water, fruits (like papaya, pear, banana), vegetables, and fiber-rich foods in his diet. Offer small, frequent meals and make sure he stays active through play. You can also gently massage his tummy clockwise and encourage toilet sitting after meals to build a habit. If constipation continues, consult your pediatrician for safe stool softeners.
