My son with age 1 year 4 months was having fever 9 days age. the fever was there for 2 days and it got reduced after giving ibuprofen. but after 2 days again the fever has come. it has got reduced in 2 days too. however after 2-3 days now again he is having fever. we have consulted the doctor at the first instance of fever itself and have given ibuprofen and paracetamol as per the adviced dosage. doctor also has prescribed augmentin dds antibiotic if the fever does not reduce in 4 days. can we start the antibiotics? also what could be reason for this frequent high fever of over 102°c
