Q.

My son will turn 6m in a week. He is completely formula fed. He has only been drinking about 90-120ml every 3-4 hours and every 4-4.5 hours at night, in total 6-7 times in 24 hours.. In comparison with the suggested feeding table on the formula, my son is drinking very less milk.. please suggest of ways to increase the intake or advise if this is sufficient

A. Dear mum, please check your baby’s urine output. If your baby is passing urine more than 7 times in 24 hours and is active, alert, achieving all growth milestones, gaining adequate weight at least 500 grams per month then your baby is receiving sufficient feed.
