Q.

My son turned 1 year on 20th April. I want to wean off his night feed as he bites me a lot. What is a correct way to go ahead. And do I need to feed something else in the middle of the night if he cries?

A. Hello mommy, Take it slow and steady. By now, you know your body – and breasts – well. Take your time to wean gradually, rather than suddenly or cold turkey. Drop one or two nursing or pumping sessions at a time, wait for your body (and milk supply) to adjust accordingly, and then drop another from your daily routine. To feed or not to feed in the middle of the night – that is the question. Experts agree that if your baby is younger than 6 months old, you should feed him whenever he wakes at night. But once he's past the 6-month marker, skip the midnight snack.
