My son of 4 year old has dry cough since 2 month and now doctor has told us it as allergic cough, and now he has prescribed montral kid tab for 3 month each tab only at nite and we did allergy test IGe level is 400 which actually has to be less than 40. Pls doctor suggest me is it necessary for tab to be given for 3 month . And may I know how long do this allergic cough last .

A. yes you can take few weeks sometimes few months for the allergy phenomena to subside. if there is no relief it is advisable to see the doctor for proper examination if there is need for proper investigations also both for diagnosis and treatment
