Q.
My son is two years old,when ever he had flu he used to get cough so much. What's the best solution to get rid of this cough,I m worried this. please help me

Dr GhouseGuardian of 3 children2 years agoA. inhalation therapy tqcold and cough in the baby is due to viral infection sometimes can be allergies please give steam inhalation to liquefy the secretions saline drops in the nose for congestion nose

Cough is a protective reflex of the body to expel out the mucus or any irritant factor from the respiratory tract which is most of the time assosiated with cold due to any viral or bacterial infection . A proper examination is required to find the cause .
As a home hiremedy you can start with steam inhalation . Cough can be treated with cough suppressant or antitussives as per the cause. For cold antihistamines are useful and nasal saline drops are also benifecial .
