Q.

My son is suffering from cold for last three days. Can I give him Maxtra medicine? He is ten months and 20 days old. How much medicine should I give him?

A. Cold most of the time is a viral illness where there could be running nose sneezing along with cough and it needs supportive care along with proper hydration . steam inhalation will also be useful in this . cough needs to be treated with anti allergic and expectorant bronchodilators or antitussives medicine which should be used once a progper evaluation by the doctor is done and according to the type of cough its prescribed. if any fever is there paracetamol chan be given to reduce the temperature and the dose can be repeated again after 6 hours if required .

A. 1ML can be given to the child three times in the day try to maintain a gap of 6 to 7 hours in between dosages apart from that if it is required you can go ahead with giving indirect steam as well to the child Tu times in the day that is also in
