A. Hello, It's absolutely ok to offer pumpkin. Offer any veggies and fruits and transition slowly in to family meals. From 6 months completion onwards, you can offer all family food minus salt and sugars, steamed veggies, fruits, rice, dal, idly, dosa, roti, kichdi, curd. Ripe fruits just hand mash, steamed veggies, rice & dal with veggies. You can slightly overcooked/hand mashed if required. Roti, idly, dosa, parantha, etc small bite sized pieces in curry, gravy, sambar, rasam, curd, etc. Normal family cooking oil, ghee or unsalted butter can be used. Finger foods can also be given. Let the baby decide the quantity of whatever food is offered. Please do not offer same food everyday. Offer a lot of variety. Do not add salt, sugar, jaggery, honey, palm sugar, Dates syrup.

A. Hello Mommy!! Pumpkin are excellent foods for the babies. They can be given in both sweet and savory form. Peel the pumpkin and cook it in pressure cooker. The mashed pumpkin acn be given in the purees form or you can even make kheer, soup out of it. This puree can also be used as base for mix veggies soup
