After 1 year of age you can gradually start giving everything which you cook as a part of family meals. It should be easy to digest nutritious, less oily and less spicy for easy digestion by the baby.
Include seasonal fruits and vegetables also.
They not only provide with the necessary multivitamins and nutrients but also with fibre.
Keep baby hydrated and try to provide some probiotics like curd buttermilk yogurt .
These keep the digestion good

SandhyaMom of a 8 yr 8 m old girl3 years agoA. Hi, since your baby is one plus year you can start giving all type of food which you prepare at home. Try with finger foods like boiled vegetables which they can chew. And try with the Dosa and parathas, paddu. You can give any home-made food but make sure it is cooked well and soft. And give food to baby to eat by it self so that it will start enjoying food. Finger foods and snacks can be given to babies to eat by them self. Include fresh fruit juice, coconut water, buttermilk, milkshakes, soups. Anything which is home-made can be given.
