Q.
My Son is crying from last night. He is not able to sleep proper , I have given him colic aid , I have also checked this temperature it’s 99.1 and last night I have given him nasoclear as his one giving me a choked sound still is not able to sleep properly.

Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children3 years agoA. Fever is a reaction of the body to different pyrogens released during any Infection. Usually temp more than 99 F is taken as fever .
Mostly in children fever is because of viral infections like flu or RSV where the fever is there for 4-5 days but may persist even upto 2 weeks .
Initially antipyretic like paracetamol is given in a dose of 15 mg / kg/ dose. Can be repeated after 4-6 hrs if needed .
Lukewarm sponge bath can be given as home remedy to decrease fever.
Adequate fluid intake is also beneficial.
Urine vvgoutput monitoring is necessary to avoid dehydration .

it happens because of congestion or discomfort, hunger or teething or stomach pain , indigestion ,gas etc
so , please make sure your child feel comfortable while sleeping.
make sure your child takes dinner well.
but don't force feed or overfeed your child.
give soothing massage before sleep time.
keep the room temperature moderated.
keep your child well hydrated
