Q.
My son is 9 months old n he immediately vomits out paracetamol drops or crocin drops. he had fever post his vaccination n we were unable to give him medicine. Any alternative to this. since vaccine had low grade fever but what if he gets high fever next time n is unable to take medicine.. please suggest.

Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children2 years agoA. Post vaccination swelling may be a common thing specially after DPT vaccine which may be painful for two or three days and the swelling may remain even up to month so if it is not causing any pain or other symptoms nothing tvuo worry.
Swelling can be reduced by giving ice fomentation locally andh paracetamol can be given for fever or pain.
Thrombophobe ointment can be applied in acute pain and swelling .
