Q.

My son is 8 months old. He still crawls on his stomach by using his arm. He did not sit and not yet started crawling on knees. Is he lagging behind?

A. Most babies learn to crawl between the ages of 7 months and 10 months. Some baby do slithering on her stomach, or rolling across the room.. don't worry about it style. Some babies skips crawling and move directly to pulling up, standing, cruising (furniture walking), and walking. -Give him plenty of tummy time. The best way to encourage crawling – as with reaching and grabbing – is to place toys and other desirable object just beyond your baby's reach. -do check with your doctor if she didn't crawl by one year.

A. It's ok as each baby is different and achieve milestones differently at their own pace babies can start crawling anytime between 6-8 months or so. Also some babies don't crawl on the knees but crawl on the tummy and directly learn to stand with support.
