My son is 6 months 1 week old and we have started with solids. Is it ok to give them honey as sweetner mixed with food?

ExpertDr Bandana JoshiAyurvedic Physician3 years agoA. No avoid giving honey till one year of age and not before that and start with light to digest foods and introduce one food at a time and give liquids and keep feeding

U Cannot actually use honey into your child’s food before the age of one year because raw honey can cause infection okay so instead of this into add sweetener to the food you can go ahead with adding dates syrup or you can go ahead with adding jaggery powder that’s a better option to go for
