Q.
My son is 5.5 months old. today he suddenly rejecting latching. if I give him breastmilk with spoon he is taking it but refusing to latch and breastfeeding. kindly advise.

Dr Vandan H KumarFather of a 7 yr 7 m old boy3 years agoA. very important to see that position and attachment while breastfeeding the child is proper. if improper the child will continue to suck for long hrs without getting any milk meet lactational counsellor who will guide regarding this. see videos on you tube for breastfeedinfg position and attachment. take plenty of water, home made diet, seasonal fruits and vegetabcles, milk for increasing breast milk for yourself. take 15 to 30 days weight and growth assessment by the doctor.

Hi Your child is having some pain in the gums which is why your child is not ready to directly All to the breast for that completely normal with a child I don’t worry about it Slowly you keep trying to just give up things will be under control after a while
