Q.
My son is 5.5 month old he has congestion in his nose as previously he was having cold and cough but still there is congestion in his nose as little bit running nose is there what we can do to remove congestion. As we are giving Levolin plus jr syrup as well as nasal spray and also giving nebulizer

Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children2 years agoA. Cough along with Cold most of the time is a viral illness and it needs supportive care along with proper hydration. you can give steam inhalation which is very useful .
cough needs to be treated with anti allergic and expectorant brogdnchodilators or antitussives medicine which should be given only after a proper evaluation by the doctor according to the type of cough.h
if fever is there paracetamol can be given to reduce the fever and the dose can be repeated after 6 hours again if required .
