Q.
my son is 4.5 months old and he is suffering from cough and since due to his age he is not being able to throw that cough. need some help

Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children3 years agoA. Cough along with Cold most of the time is a viral illness and it needs supportive care along with proper hydration. you can give steam inhalation which is very useful .
cough needs to be treated with anti allergic and expectorant bronchodilators or antitussivges medicine which should be given only after a proper evaluation by the doctor according tggo the type of cough.
if fever is there paracetamol can be given to reduce the fever and the dose can be repeated after 6 hours again if required .

Try giving indirect steam inhalation to reduce the discomfort. Continue to exclusively breastfeed your baby well on demand. Consult your child’s doctor for advice.
