Q.

My son is 3yr old, he s having fever 100 past 3 days i gave him, crocin 240mh syrup for 2 days every 4 hrs, nxt day temp raised to 100.1, i gave meftal 4ml one time, then fever didnt came, again mid nit fever 100.2 started i gave hi. ibuprofen 4ml, now no fever... should i continue ibugsic syrup ??

A. fever is the response of the body towards any kind of infection or any inflammatory process in body and only when the temperature is above 99F it is called as fever, so you can give paracetamol in a dose of 15 mg/kg/dose which can be again repeated after every 5 - 6 hours if re' quired and do cold sponging of the body to reduce fever in between the doses.
