Q.

My son is 34 days old, his umbilical chord stump fell off on the 6th day but his umbilical is still wet, so what should I do or apply to make it dry?

A. Hi Mom, Once the stump falls off, you can give your baby a proper bath. You don't have to clean the belly button any more or less than the rest of the baby;s body. Wipe away any remaining secretions with a dampened washcloth and pat dry. Put a few drops of breast milk into it to heal faster.
