my son is 3.7 years he had fever from yesterday we went to pediatrician he given paracetamol but fever is not reducing with paracetamol he still has high fever after giving paracetamol also. what to do

Dr Vandan H KumarFather of a 7 yr 9 m old boy1 Year agoA. whenever fever is not improving with paracetamol you will have to see if the dosage of the medicine is given according to the weight of the child or not and if the power of the paracetamol is proper. also if the medicine is older than one month after opening then better to buy a new bottle. you have to give paracetamodl and also do body sponge and keep the child in cotton clothes. after 2 hours of paracetamol if the fever is is not improving then you can go for higher medicines like ibugesic or meftal p. paracetamol can be given maximum four times per day.

Crocin DS you can give to the child it is one of the best medicines that you can give you should give it as per the current age and weight of your child everything is mentioned on the bottle and you can repeat it again after six hours if you do not see temperature still breaking then you may need to check with your doctor again
