Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children3 years agoA. Fever is commonly seen in babies and mostly it's viral infection which is very common in children.
But if fever is high grade and persisting or assosiated with specific symptoms than other causes should also be ruled out .
Antipyretic like paracetamol or ibuprofen or mefenframic acid are usually given to reduce fever . Cold sponging with lukewarm water is also helpful .f
Doctor consultation should be done if symptoms like excessive irritability dullness loss of appetite less urine output is there .

See If the fever does not subside within 72 hours then you have to go for a blood test and you are saying all the reports are normal and still if the fever is happening then there could be any other reason you have to ask your doctor go for any further scan if required
